J4350 and J6350 Services Router Getting Started Guide
AC Power Electrical Safety Guidelines
The following electrica l safety guidelines apply to AC-powered routers:
AC-powered routers are shipped with a three-wire electrical c ord with a
grounding-ty
pe plug that fits only a grounding-type power outlet. Do no t
circumve nt this safety feature. Equipment grounding should comply with
local and national electric al co des.
You must provide an external Listed circuit breaker rated minimum 15 A
in the buildi
ng installation.
The power cor
d serves a s the main disconnecting device. The socket outlet
must be near the router and be easily accessible.
The cores in the mains lead are colored in accordance with the following code:
Green and yellow—Earth
Blue—Neu tral
Brow n—Live
When a router is equipped with two AC power supplies, both power cords
(one for each power su pp ly) m ust be unplugged to completely disconnect
power to the
router.
Note the fol
lowing warnings printed on the AC power supply faceplate:
To complete
ly de-energize the system disconnect maximum of 2 power
cordsets.
